This object is used for transferring the complete merchandise category hierarchy assigned to the target store. This includes the merchandise category itself.

SAP Retail differentiates between single merchandise categories and merchandise category hierarchies. The latter are modeled as classes in the classification system.

The object is not time-dependent.

Data is prepared in one of two ways:

• Merchandise categories are only transferred if they are explicitly assigned to the target store, and are not excluded from transfer. The settings for this are made in site maintenance.
• The system transfers all merchandise categories. You must make settings in the communication profile for the target store so that sales for this store run via all merchandise categories.
