Configuring Simultaneously Several Material Items as Variants 

Use

You make reference in the serial number master record to a variant that already exists. This has the advantage that changes to the variant only have to be performed once centrally and are displayed directly in the serial number master record.

Procedure

  1. Enter the required number of serial numbers for the material as described in Creating Several Serial Numbers (steps 1 to 4).
  2. In the list editing screen, choose Edit ® Assign to ConfigMat.

    3. A dialog box is displayed.

  3. Enter the variant and the plant and choose Continue.

    4. You return to the list editing screen.

  4. Save the serial number master records.
