Configuring a Serialized Material Item as a Variant 

Use

You make reference in the serial number master record to a variant that already exists. This has the advantage that changes to the variant only have to be performed once centrally and are displayed directly in the serial number master record.

Procedure

  1. Call up the master record of the serial number in Change mode.
  2. Choose the tabstrip ConfigData.
  3. Choose Assign to ConfigMat.

    4. A dialog box is displayed.

  4. Enter the variant and the plant and choose Continue.

    5. You return to the tabstrip ConfigData.

    If you want to display the configuration, choose Display and the screen Characteristic Value Assignment is displayed.

  5. Save the serial number master record.
