Creating a Maintenance Item Without Assignment

Choose Logistics ® Plant maintenance ® Maintenance planning ® Maintenance plans ® Maintenance items ® Create.

You reach the initial screen for creating a maintenance item.

Enter the necessary data:

– Enter a maintenance strategy if necessary.

If you want to assign the maintenance item to a time-based or performance-based maintenance plan, you must enter a corresponding maintenance strategy.

If you do not specify a strategy for the maintenance item, you can only assign this item to a single cycle plan or multiple counter plan.

Choose .

You reach the maintenance item.

Enter the necessary data.

You should use a descriptive text for the maintenance item (for example, "Perform safety test"), as this will make it easier for you to recognize the relevant maintenance item when assigning it to the maintenance plan. For more information about this assignment, see Assigning Maintenance Items to a Maintenance Plan.

Assign further technical objects to the maintenance item if necessary using the tabstrip Object list (see Object List).

You assign a task list if necessary to the maintenance item:

To assign an existing task list, choose

To create a task list (category: General task list), choose with quick info Create general task list. If you have created a maintenance item with a strategy, you assign maintenance packages to the operations of the task list.

After you have assigned a task list, the system displays the assigned task list on the tabstrip Item.

Save the maintenance item.
