warranty check

Definition

Determines whether the system should perform a warranty check during processing (for example, billing or quotation creation) for equipment or serial numbers.

Use

If you set the indicator, the system performs a warranty check and informs you in a dialog box whether a warranty exists for the piece of equipment concerned. To do this, the system calls up the customer exit ICSV0005 (Determining reason for rejection - resource-related billing).

If you do not set the indicator, the system does not perform a warranty check and the customer exit is not called up.
