confirmation of receipt

Definition

This indicator defines that a confirmation of receipt must be sent to the responsible person.

Use

This indicator is only relevant to distribution types whose Customizing settings support confirmation of receipt.
The relevant setting is the Confirm receipt indicator under Define distribution types.

Dependencies

If you want a confirmation of receipt to be sent at the start of the distribution, you can also create a return date

The confirmation is carried out as follows:

• The recipient must confirm receipt of the docoument (for example, by phone, fax, or e-mail) and send the document back to the responsible person.

• This person must set the status of the distribution package in the distribution order log to receipt confirmed .
