Define signature sequence

In this IMG activity, you determine the sequence in which the individual signatures assigned to a signature strategy must be executed.

You specify the signature sequence by marking the predecessors for each individual signature in a sequence matrix.
Once you have done this, you can also list the predecessors for one individual signature. However, you cannot change the data in the individual display.

Example

Individual signatures S1, S2, S3, and S4 have been assigned to a signature strategy.
In the matrix, you define the signature sequence as follows:

Predecessor signatures
Signat. to be executed S1 S2 S3 S4
S1
S2 X
S3 X
S4 X X

This implies the following:

Activities

Defining a signature sequence in the matrix

1. Select the signature strategy for which you want to define the signature sequence.
2. Choose the Signature sequence pushbutton.
A matrix appears that contains a line and column for each individual signature.
3. In each row, mark the direct predecessors of each signature.
4. Choose Enter.
If there are indirect predecessor signatures, the system adds them to the matrix (see system message SIG 504 Indirect predecessors added).
5. Save your settings.

Displaying predecessors for an individual signature

1. Select the signature strategy whose data you want to display.
2. Choose Assign individual signatures.
3. Select the individual signature whose predecessors you want to display.
4. Choose Display predecessors in the navigation area.
