Maintain Requirements for Message Control

In this step, you define

FORM routines, in which you specify requirements for message output (printing/transmission of documents in message form).

These requirements decide which message is outputted, depending on the transaction or event that triggered the message determination process.

Example

In the standard system, the requirement 101 "New printout" has been created. This requirement is defined so as to allow new printouts (printing or transmission of documents in message form) or printouts of changes (printing or transmission of change notices) only.

Recommendation

SAP recommends that you work with the settings provided in the standard system. In this case, you need take no further action.

Activities

To create a new requirement you must carry out the following activities:

1. Create a new requirement.
2. Choose the source text icon (F5) and enter the code for your FORM routine.
3. Activate the requirement via Edit -> Activate.
4. Assign the requirement to the purchasing document in the message determination schema.

Further Notes

Before you can delete a requirement you must deactivate it.
