Default Values for Physical Inventory

In this step, you specify the following default values for physical inventory for each plant:

Presettings for entering physical inventory documents

• thestock type (unrestricted-use, in quality inspection, blocked)

• the indicator for batch determination (in the foreground or in the background)

• the unit of entry (stockkeeping unit or unit of issue)

These indicators are suggested as default values when you enter a physical inventory document. But you can also change them there.

• Reason for inventory difference

The default value you specify here is only displayed when you enter an inventory difference without reference to the corresponding document. But you can also change the default value here.

Note:

You only see this field when you enter inventory differences if you have activated it in the step Field selection for physical inventory .

Default settings

The standard R/3 System contains the following default settings:

• The stock type Unrestricted-use stock is set for physical inventory.

• Batches are determined in the background without the option of intervention.

• The unit of entry for physical inventory is the unit of issue.

• There is no reason for inventory difference
