Installing Equipment in a Superior Piece of Equipment 

  1. Create master records for the pieces of equipment that you want to process. To do this, proceed as described in Creating a Piece of Equipment.
  2. Call up the master record of the piece of equipment that you want to install in the superior piece of equipment. To do this, in the screen Technical Objects either use the menu bar sequence Equipment ® Create or Equipment ® Change, or use the list editing functions.
  3. In any master data screen, choose Structure ® Change InstallLoc.

    4. The dialog box Change Equipment Installation Location is displayed.

  4. Enter the superior piece of equipment.

    5. If you want to use the Data transfer function for the sub-equipment, proceed as described in Data Transfer.

  5. Choose Confirm.

    6. You return to the master data screen.

  6. Save the equipment master record.
