Installing Equipment 

Prerequisites

The master records for the functional location and the pieces of equipment must already be created in the system.

Procedure

  1. Select the equipment master record in the Change mode.
  2. Go to any screen in the equipment master record.
  3. Choose Structure ® Change InstallLoc.

    4. The dialog box Change Equipment Installation Location is displayed.

  4. Make all the required entries for the installation location.
  5. Perform the installation. The following options are available for doing this:

    6. – Use the pushbutton Dism. w. DataTransfer.

    The system installs the piece of equipment. You can determine the data transfer manually. For information on this, see Data Transfer.

    Return to the dialog box Change Equipment Installation Location.

    – Use the pushbutton Installation.

    The system installs the piece of equipment. In this case, you are not able to influence the data transfer manually.

  6. Select Confirm.

    7. You return to the master record screen from which you called up the dialog box.

  7. Save the equipment master record.
