Tile Type for Launching App

The apps of SAP Smart Business for SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization do not use the KPI modeler.

The Demand Waterfall Analysis analytical app uses an app launcher tile to launch the app.

Implementation Tasks

The following sections list tasks that have to be performed to implement the Demand Waterfall Analysis app. The tables contain the app-specific data required for these tasks.

You can find the data required to perform these tasks in the SAP Fiori apps reference library at https://fioriappslibrary.hana.ondemand.com/sap/fix/externalViewer/index.html?appId=F0578Information published on SAP site.

HANA Server: Assign SAP HANA Roles to Users and Roles

You can find the data required to perform this step in the SAP Fiori apps reference library at https://www.sap.com/fiori-apps-libraryInformation published on SAP site.

HANA Server: Generate and Assign Analytic Privileges to Users and Roles

For the analytical apps of SAP Smart Business for SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization, the same authorization concept applies as for SAP Supply Chain Info Center and the SCM VDM. For more information about the assignment of privileges, see Authorization for SAP HANA Live for SAP SCM in the Administrator’s Guide for SAP HANA Live 1.0 on the SAP Help Portal at Start of the navigation path http://help.sap.com/hbaInformation published on SAP site Next navigation step Master, Installation, Security, Configuration, and Operations Information Next navigation step Administrator’s Guide End of the navigation path.

Front-End Server: Activate SAP UI5 Application

SAP UI5 Application

Technical Name

Demand Waterfall Analysis

SCM_APP_DPWA

For more information about how to activate the SAP UI5 application (ICF service), see Front-End Server: Activate ICF Services of SAP UI5 Application.

Front-End Server: Enable App for Access in SAP Fiori Launchpad

The SAP Fiori launchpad is the entry point to SAP Fiori apps. From a user perspective, it displays those SAP Fiori apps that have been assigned to the catalog designed for this user's role.

This presupposes that an administrator has made the necessary assignments in the launchpad designer to enable a user's access to the respective SAP Fiori apps in the SAP Fiori launchpad. For more information, see Setup of Catalogs, Groups, and Roles in the SAP Fiori Launchpad.

SAP delivers technical catalogs for groups of SAP Fiori apps as repositories to create your own catalogs in the launchpad designer. Along with these catalogs, more technical content is delivered for each SAP Fiori app. You can find the delivered technical content for each SAP Fiori app in the SAP Fiori apps reference library.

Further Prerequisites

To ensure that snapshots of your planning data are available for the analysis, implement the following steps:

  1. Make an initial upload of snapshots

If you have snapshot data available in an external system, create a CSV file from the data and upload the content of the file to the fact table of your replication model. For more information, see Data Provisioning Using Table Import in the SAP HANA Developer Guide on SAP Help Portal at Start of the navigation path http://help.sap.comInformation published on SAP site Next navigation step SAP In-Memory Computing Next navigation step SAP HANA Next navigation step SAP HANA Platform Next navigation step Development Information. End of the navigation path.

    Note Note

When creating the CSV file, fill the Snapshot ID column as follows:

    • If your replication model is based on a data view with a weekly periodicity, the snapshot ID should have the following format: W<year><calendar week (01-52)>

For example, the snapshot ID for year 2014, calendar week 25 should be W201425.

    • If the data view has a monthly periodicity, the snapshot ID should have the following format: M<year><month (01-12)>.

For example, the snapshot ID for April 2014 should be M201404.

    End of the note.
  2. Generate further snapshots as needed by running the Manage Snapshots for Demand Waterfall Analysis report. You can access the report on the SAP Easy Access screen under Start of the navigation path Advanced Planning and Optimization Next navigation step APO Administration Next navigation step Data Replication Next navigation step Replication of Planning Data to SAP HANA Next navigation step Manage Snapshots for Demand Waterfall Analysis End of the navigation path.
