Product Installation Information

Some analytical apps use the generic drill-down application to display the KPI data and to enable drill-down to detail views. For these apps, you must install only the KPI Modeler component; no further installation of product-specific front-end components is required.

This SAP Smart Business product consists of specific front-end components for its analytical apps to display the KPI data and enable specific navigation to detail views and SAP HANA server components (such as the XSOData service).

Prerequisites

Before you install SAP Smart Business for Retail Promotion Execution, ensure that your system landscape has been set up to enable SAP Fiori and that the corresponding SAP Business Suite components of the delivered apps are already available on your ABAP back-end server:

Note Note

This SAP Smart Business product requires the installation of the product SAP Smart Business foundation component (SAP ANALYTICS FOUNDATION 1.0 for Smart Business). Make sure this product has been installed before you install any other SAP Smart Business product.

Installation of Front-End Server Components

Depending on the SAP NetWeaver version on your front-end server, you have to install the following instance contained in the SAP Smart Business product:

Installation of SAP HANA Server Components

You have to install the following SAP Smart Business product version on your SAP HANA server. After installation, the software components included in the product version are available on your SAP HANA server. The SAP Smart Business product versions contain the required software components (such as the required VDMs).
