Manage Profit Center Groups 
With the transactional app Manage Profit Center Groups, you can search for profit center groups as well as create, display, and edit profit center groups. You can also create different versions of the profit center group content for different validity dates by copying a group to an inactive version. Note that you cannot create versions for the standard hierarchy as a special profit center group.

How to Use the App
Create Profit Center Groups Based On Existing Groups
You can create a profit center group by copying in the following ways:
Copy a profit center group
The original profit center group together with all its child groups is copied to the new profit center group.
Copy a profit center group with suffix
The original profit center group together with all its child groups is copied to the new profit center group. The system adds the suffix you enter to the technical names of the copied profit center group and its child groups.
Copy a profit center group to an inactive version
The original profit center group together with all its child groups is copied to an inactive hierarchy version that was defined previously. Within this inactive hierarchy, you can create new profit center groups and assign profit centers as required. Once you are satisfied with the structure of your hierarchy, you can make it active on a defined validity date. This creates a copy of the hierarchy and makes it effective for reporting, planning, allocations, and so on.
Display Profit Center Groups
You can choose between the following display options:
By setting a preview period, you can display a profit center group by a key date or specified period. If the profit center master data has different analysis period content on the key date or for the specified period, you can see several columns, all showing the same profit center for different analysis periods. Note that this function is available in display mode only.
By selecting the group version, you can display the different versions of the profit center group content for different validity dates. Note that only one version of a profit center group can be the active version.

System Landscape Requirements
The app consists of the SAP Fiori launchpad configuration (such as the tiles and the navigation) and back-end components (such as the Web Dynpro application itself). The back-end and the front-end components are delivered in separate products and have to be installed in a system landscape that is enabled for SAP Fiori.
