You can use the query ManufacturerAndObjectClassQuery (Maintenance order and notification KPIs by manufacturer and object class) to simultaneously analyze information for maintenance notifications and orders related to object class, construction materials, manufacturer and assembly.
For analyzing manufacturer and object class information related to costs, use the query ManufacturerAndObjectClassCostsQuery (Manufacturer order cost data by manufacturer and object class).
Example
You need to check how many unplanned maintenance orders were created for all the hydraulic pumps of a specific manufacturer in your maintenance plant in one year. For more information, see Example: Manufacturer and Object Class.
Further business questions could be:
How many completed maintenance orders are there for a particular manufacturer for a given year?
How many unplanned maintenance orders were there for the class 'hydraulic pumps' for one year?
How many completed maintenance orders are there for a specific manufacturer for a specific month?
You have read the general hints about query views. For more information, see General Hints.
Using SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, Edition for Microsoft Excel you can analyze data by inserting the desired query view in Excel. You can then define the analysis results by dragging and dropping the attributes offered by the query to the drop zone. To narrow down the results of the analysis, you can then add filters to the attributes. For more information about SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, Edition for Microsoft Office, see http://help.sap.com/boaa and the Official Product Tutorials – SAP BusinessObjects Analysis (http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-7679).
In this query example, the following reuse views are used:
Manufacturer and object class data for maintenance orders (MaintOrderByManufacturerAndObjectClass)
Manufacturer and object class data for maintenance notifications (MaintNotifByManufacturerAndObjectClass)
Name of a plant (PlantName)
You can automatically generate details, for example, a list of the measures and attributes, tables and views for each reuse view which is used in this query using the Auto Documentation function.
To create the auto documentation proceed as follows:
In the SAP HANA Studio, choose
.On the Quick Launch tab page, choose Auto Documentation.
Choose the package and choose Add.
Enter a target location path and choose Finish.
One PDF document is created for each view.
This query belongs to the virtual data model for Enterprise Asset Management.
For a description of the reuse views used in this virtual data model, see Reuse Views for Plant Maintenance.
