App History: My Contacts

Use

Note

Starting with the initial delivery date, the app is delivered with each support package stack of the respective SAP Fiori product. This document only lists support package stacks in which the app has been enhanced or changed. If the app was not changed in a particular support package stack, then this support package stack is not mentioned in this document.

The My Contacts app has been enhanced as follows:

Note Most of the features and options listed below are only available with SAP enhancement package 3 for SAP CRM 7.0 and later releases as the back-end component. Only those features and options that are marked with an asterisk (*) are available in lower back-end product versions.

SAP Fiori 1.0 for SAP CRM SPS 10 (Delivery Date 07/2016)

New/Enhanced Key Features

General:

You can display and change marketing attributes for a contact. This feature is available with SAP enhancement package 3 (SP12) for SAP CRM 7.0 and later back-end versions.

Offline Mode:

If you have a network connection, data is automatically synchronized once an hour.

A status bar is displayed in the launchpad, showing when the last synchronization occurred and whether any changes have not yet been sent to the CRM backend.

An error log is displayed in the app, showing errors for this app, and in the launchpad, showing errors for all apps. You can navigate from an error message directly to data that is inconsistent or incomplete.

Note that the status bar and navigation to errors are only supported as of SAPUI5 version 1.3x.

New/ Changed Extensibility Options

A new wrapper service CRM_ODATA supports the extension of the app for offline mode. The new service calls the existing app-specific OData services internally.

If you use the app offline and enhance the CRM_BUPA_ODATA service, you must register your additional or extended entities so that they are taken into account by the CRM_ODATA service.

SAP Fiori 1.0 for SAP CRM SPS 8 (Delivery Date 10/2015)

New/Changed Implementation Details	New implementation details: If you want to deploy the app for offline use, you need to implement and configure it, then package it for installation on mobile devices. For more information about packaging, see Preparing SAP Fiori Apps for Offline Use.
New/Enhanced Extensibility Options	New extensibility option: You can adjust the default filters that now limit the number of transactions displayed in the app. For more information, see the Extension Guide provided with SAP Note 2016653 .

SAP Fiori 1.0 for SAP CRM SPS 6 (Delivery Date 04/2015)

This app version has now been enabled to also run on the following lower back-end releases:

SAP CRM 7.0 SPS 6 or higher
SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP CRM 7.0 SPS 3 or higher
SAP enhancement package 2 for SAP CRM 7.0 SPS 1 or higher

If you want to run the app on a lower back-end release, you have to install the back-end components of the app separately. The back-end components of the app are delivered with the product SAP Fiori transactional apps 1.0 for SAP CRM (software component GBX02CRM 700). For the back-end releases listed above, SAP recommends that you use both the front-end and back-end components of the app as provided with SAP Fiori transactional apps 1.0 for SAP CRM.

Contacts can be created with the role Contact Person automatically assigned. If you want to use this feature, you need to activate it in Customizing (see App Implementation: My Contacts).

SAP Fiori for SAP CRM 1.0 SPS 4 (Delivery Date 10/2014)

New/Enhanced Key Features

Enhanced key features:

You can edit the work address of a contact (unless multiple work addresses are defined in the backend system).
You can upload and delete attachments, and change their names.
You can navigate from the contact address to a map, and start activities such as route planning.

Map integration enables users to navigate to third-party map software by clicking a map icon. Since the contact address is communicated to this software, you must decide whether or not you want to use map integration and, if you do want to use it, make it active for users by showing the map icon. For more information, see the Extension Guide provided with SAP Note 2016653 . SAP does not accept any liability for the use of address data by the map software provider, nor for insecure communication of address data.

New/Enhanced Extensibility Options

The new UI controller hook extHookGetDependentCustomRelations enables you to add additional navigation properties for the Contact entity (see App Extensibility: My Contacts).
