You can use this query view MaintenanceObjectBreakdownQuery (Breakdown data for maintenance objects) to simultaneously analyze breakdown information for pieces of equipment and functional locations related to date, actual breakdowns, total repair time and time between repairs.
Example
You need to investigate the effective breakdown times of maintenance objects in use.
For more information about this query, see Example: Maintenance Object Breakdown.
A further business question could be 'which technical objects have the most breakdowns?'.
You have read the general hints about query views. For more information, see General Hints.
Using SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, Edition for Microsoft Excel you can analyze data by inserting the desired query view in Excel. You can then define the analysis results by dragging and dropping the attributes offered by the query to the drop zone. To narrow down the results of the analysis, you can then add filters to the attributes. For more information about SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, Edition for Microsoft Office, see http://help.sap.com/boaa and the Official Product Tutorials – SAP BusinessObjects Analysis (http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-7679).
With the analysis tool you can calculate the measures Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and Mean Time Between Repair (MTBR) from the displayed measures:
Number of actual maintenance breakdowns
Total repair time
Time between repairs
For more information about the measures MTTR, MTBR and the calculation formulas, see Measures for Breakdown Statistics.
