The integration add-on for SAP ERP Human Capital Management (SAP ERP HCM) and SuccessFactors Business Execution (SuccessFactors BizX) enables the integration of data for recruiting data, employee data, organizational data, compensation data, and data that is required for evaluation purposes.

You can use this add-on to transfer the following data from SAP ERP HCM to SuccessFactors BizX or vice versa:

  • Recruiting data

    • You can transfer information about positions to be staffed from the SAP ERP system to SuccessFactors BizX so that corresponding job requisitions can be created or changed there.

    • You can transfer applications from SuccessFactors BizX to SAP ERP HCM and, based on the transferred data, perform a personnel action in the SAP ERP system to hire the candidates as employees.

  • Employee data

    You can transfer employee data and organizational data from SAP ERP HCM to SuccessFactors BizX, to support Talent Management processes there.

  • Compensation data

    • You can transfer compensation data from SAP ERP HCM to SuccessFactors BizX so that it is available for compensation planning there.

    • You can return the compensation data planned in SuccessFactors BizX to SAP ERP HCM so that this data can be included in payroll.

  • Evaluation data

    You can transfer data required for evaluations from SAP ERP HCM to SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics to support workforce planning and workforce analytics.

Middleware Versions

If you want to use middleware for the integration, you need one of the following middleware versions in addition to the SAP ERP system:

  • If you want to use the integration via SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (SAP NetWeaver PI), you need an SAP NetWeaver PI system with at least Release 7.0 and the Support Package level stated in SAP Note 1838921.

  • If you want to use SAP HANA Cloud Integration (SAP HCI) for the integration, you need an SAP HANA Cloud Integration infrastructure. This infrastructure is configured by SAP Cloud Managed Services.

Dependencies Between the Integration Scenarios

If you use more than one integration scenario, adhere to the following sequence during the data transfer:

Data Consistency Between SAP ERP HCM and SuccessFactors BizX

During each data transfer, the SAP ERP system transfers the contents of all fields that you have defined as relevant for the integration scenario to SuccessFactors BizX. If in SuccessFactors BizX you change data that was transferred from the SAP ERP system, these changes can be overwritten during the next data transfer for the same integration scenario. Therefore, in SuccessFactors BizX, we recommend that you do not make any changes to fields for which you transfer data from the SAP ERP system.

Technical Integration

You have the following technical options for transferring data from SAP ERP HCM to SuccessFactors BizX and vice versa:

  • You use middleware to transfer the data with Web services.

  • You download the data to files with a flat file format.

    This option is not available for the integration scenarios for recruiting data and compensation data.
