You can find the search status in the footer of the results list.
The icon next to Show Search Status
displays the overall status of the search.
Red: Could not connect to at least one object type (from a technical perspective: Search Object Connector
).
Yellow: At least one connector did not return any results within the time limit.
Note
You can change the default timeout of the search for the current user session. After the period of time set, the search is terminated and the results displayed, even if some connectors have not returned any results.
To change the timeout setting, choose
.Green: The search was successful across all connectors.
Show Search Status
displays the exact status of each connector in a dialog box. You can establish here whether the addressed connectors have responded, how quickly they responded, and how many results they returned. These technical details are relevant for your system administrator if he or she has to troubleshoot.
