Procedure

To further refine your search, choose Advanced Search.

You can perform the following actions in the advanced search:

Narrow Down Search

Depending on the category selected above, you can choose individual object types, such as products or documents, in Search In.

Note Note

If the list of object types is very long, you can choose Choose more... to open a new window and compile your own selection of object types.

By choosing a category or an object type, you narrow down your search scope. As soon as the objects in the search scope have common properties, you can use these as Further Search Criteria. You can expand or reduce the list of search criteria according to your requirements.

Example Example

Typical common search criteria for business objects and documents are the name of the last person to change the item and the time of the last change.

Note Note

You can also use the search criteria to search for objects for which a specific property does not contain a value, for example products that have not been assigned a price. To do this, choose Has No Value.

Save Favorites

Under Favorites in the top right-hand corner, you can save your search, call it up again later, or delete it.

Note Note

To delete all favorites simultaneuosly, choose Start of the navigation path Personalize Next navigation step Favorites Next navigation step Delete Favorites End of the navigation path.

Hide Search Area

You can choose Hide Search Criteria and Show Search Criteria to show or hide the entire search area, for example to make more space for the results area.

To hide the search area automatically after each search, choose Start of the navigation path Personalize Next navigation step Results Display Next navigation step Hide search criteria when displaying search results End of the navigation path.
