You can extend the configuration of existing connectors by changing the underlying model and then updating the dependent connectors. For example, this method allows you to add new fields in an object to the search.
Furthermore, you can delete connectors that are no longer required.
You can use the modeler to enhance the configuration of existing connectors.

If the underlying model has been changed, this is displayed in the administration cockpit by means of a selected checkbox in the Changed
column for the dependent connectors.
You can update the connector as follows to include the changes from the model:
In the administration cockpit, choose the corresponding connector for which the checkbox in the Changed
column is selected.
On the control bar, choose the Update
option in the Actions
menu.
This step transfers the model changes to the connector and triggers the following activities:
If the change requires the deletion of an index or the generation of a new index, the system does this automatically.
If the change requires an existing index to be indexed again, you start a full indexing run and schedule regular delta indexing runs.

Log on to the administration cockpit.
Select a connector and choose Delete

Caution
This starts a background job that deletes the connector from the database. You cannot undo this step.
