 Alert Monitoring of Components

Features

The following aspects of the Embedded Search components listed below can be monitored with alerts using transaction RZ20:

  • ABAP – Status of all search object connectors

  • TREX – General heartbeat

ABAP Monitors

Embedded Search provides the following CCMS alerts for its ABAP component:

Monitoring Object

Description

Search Object Connectors:

<back_end>~<BO_TYPE>~

Shows the configured ABAP-based search object connectors with their status.

The color of a search object connector indicates its status. The threshold values are the default values of CCMS.

TREX Monitors

Embedded Search offers the following CCMS alerts for its TREX instance(s):

Description

Start of the navigation path TREX Next navigation step TREX Server Configuration End of the navigation path

Performance

Shows the performance status of the TREX integrated in Embedded Search.

Configuration Status

Shows the status of the services of the TREX integrated in Embedded Search.

Start of the navigation path TREX Next navigation step TREX Log Files End of the navigation path

TREX on <host_name> instance <no> - log files\TRex: TrexDaemon_<host_name>.00000.000.trc

Shows the status of the log file for the TREX integrated in Embedded Search.

Note Note

There are a number of additional TREX monitoring objects and attributes configured that are available for monitoring but not activated. To include them in CCMS Monitoring, you must activate them.
