Role Role: SAP_SR_TMC_MANAGER_6

 

This single role comprises the tasks that managers perform in Talent Management. You can use this single role as a template to specify the authorizations specific to Talent Management for the managers in your enterprise. This role also comprises a menu that you can use as part of the Manager Self-Service role in SAP NetWeaver Business Client.

Configuration

In the standard SAP system, the role comprises the following authorizations in Talent Management:

  • Managers are allowed to perform the following actions for their employees:

    • They are allowed to assess the performance and potential of their employees, meaning that they can edit forms as well as criteria groups and criteria for the talent assessment.

    • They are allowed to assign employees to positions as successors (relationship 740).

    • They are allowed to assign employees to talent groups (relationship 743).

    • They are allowed to edit all Talent Management infotypes.

      For example, this means that managers are allowed to display and change the talent profiles of their employees (infotypes 7402 - 7407) and edit the performance values and potential values of their employees (infotypes 7408 and 7409).

    • They are allowed to display and change the infotypes Personnel Actions (000) and Organizational Assignment (0001).

  • They are allowed to display the photos of talents.

    In the standard SAP system, photos are displayed in a talent's short profile or when editing talent groups.

  • Managers have access to applications that call the function group HRTMC_SERVICES.

    This function group comprises the Remote Function Calls (RFCs) for external applications that can be used for Succession Planning, for example.

  • They are allowed to display all business partners. For the authorization object B_BUPA_RLT, enter the proficiency * for all fields that do not have a specific entry.

Recommendation Recommendation

For the authorization object PLOG, enter the proficiency * for all fields that do not have a specific entry. Enter the active plan version for the field PLVAR of the authorization object PLOG.

For the authorization object P_ORGIN, enter the proficiency * for the subtype and restrict the remaining fields to suit your requirements.
