    Example Example

    /USR/SAP/SH1/SYS/GLOBAL/REPORT.DAT

    End of the example.

    Note Note

If the template key already exists in the SAP system, you should change it in the *.DAT file using an ASCII editor before import.

To correct the transfer file, in the Basic Data and Tools menu choose Start of the navigation path Tools Next navigation step Data Transfer Next navigation step Download File End of the navigation path . After making the corrections in an ASCII editor, choose Upload File .

  6. Go back and on the report template import screen choose with the quick info text Transfer/Start Time .

The SAP system determines the symbols in the report template.

  7. Check the symbol matchup list. All entries in the System column must have symbol descriptions. If they do not, check if symbol generation was carried out on your system (see “Prerequisites”).

  8. Choose with the quick info text Transfer/Start Time .

    The report template is imported.

Result

After the report template is imported, the screen for editing document templates is opened and the imported template is loaded. The system performs an automatic symbol matchup so that the symbols in your imported template are the same as the existing symbols in your system. This process can take some time. After the symbols have been matched up, you can edit the report template manually. Finally, run a template check by choosing with the quick info text Check Template and save.

You can edit the report templates further on the screens for report template management.
