If a business partner is temporarily unable to pay his liabilities, you can enter a deferral date in the item. You can reverse a deferral by deleting the deferral date in the item. You can enter a deferral date in the item when you post or change a document. To cancel a deferral date, use the transaction Change Document
. If you want to display the deferral date of an item, use the transaction Display Document
.
Note
Entering a deferral date has the same effect as if you had changed the net due date to the deferral date. Since you enter the deferral date in a separate field, the original net due date always remains visible.
Choose one of the following paths:

Enter the document number.
Choose
.Double-click on the item to be deferred.
Enter a deferral date.
Save the document.
You can also enter a deferral date directly when you enter a document (see Entering Documents).
When the deferral date is reached, the payment program collects the deferred receivable.
If the deferral date is exceeded, the deferred receivable is included in the dunning run.
