Stock transfer functions map the initiation of stock transferscoming from the connected systems SAP CRM andSAP APO and subsequently execute these transfers in SAP EWM. SAP S ervice Parts Management (SPM)in ERP does not initiate, change, or cancel transfers itself, but acts as a central distributor of transfer-related information.

Transfer functions move materials either from one storage locationto another (stock transfer) or to make changes to the stock type, batch number, or material number (posting change).
