You use this function to improve the performance of the system when processing queries.
The query cache has the following features:
It is user-dependent to avoid problems with authorization checks that the system executes within the data provision technologies called from BCV.
It is time-dependent to avoid problems related to outdated query results.
It is cross-session enabled to support the use of cached query results from the side panel also in the view area.
It deletes old entries to ensure that the cache size does not grow endlessly.
It can be configured to set up the duration of the cache in general, based on the context key and query ID, or based on the context key alone.
It can be skipped in general, or for a specific user.
It can be reset per user, date, query ID, or search ID.
