Consistency CheckLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You can use this function to manually check the consistency of objects in Business Context Viewer (BCV).

Prerequisites

You can perform a consistency check only if the following applies:

  • You have the necessary authorizations, which are granted to you in one of the following ways:

    • In the Role Maintenance (PFCG) transaction, you are assigned to the BCV Administrator (SAP_BCV_ADMIN) role.

    • On the SAP NetWeaver Portal, you are assigned to the BCV Administrator (com.sap.pct.bs_fnd.BCV_ADMIN) role.

Features

  • The system checks the relationship between search connectors, queries, and query views, as well as the internal consistency of these objects.

  • The system notifies you if the objects you checked are consistent, or if there are inconsistencies.

  • In case there are inconsistencies in the data you checked, the system displays error messages.

Activities

You can carry out a manual consistency check in the following ways:

  • In the configuration center, choose Consistency Check.

  • In Customizing, choose Start of the navigation path Cross-Application Components Next navigation step  Processes and Tools for Enterprise Applications Next navigation step  Business Context Viewer Next navigation step Foundation, Monitoring Next navigation step Perform Consistency Check End of the navigation path

Recommendation

Using the configuration center is the recommended approach to making configuration settings in BCV. You should use Customizing only in exceptional cases. For more information, see Configuration Center.
