Creating a Class Using a Template

You can use a template to help you create a new class. The system copies the data from the source class (template) to the new class as default values.

To create a class by copying an existing class:

1. Enter the name of the class you want to create.

2. Choose Create with template and enter the class whose data you want to copy.

3. You see a dialog box in which you select the screens in the existing class that you want to copy to the new class.

   The data is proposed in your logon language. If you select All languages, you copy keywords, class texts, standard description, and standard title in all languages in which they have been maintained.

4. Confirm your entries.

5. You see data from all the screens you selected in the source class on the screens of your new class. You can overwrite these default values as required.

6. When you reach the last screen, you see a dialog box. Save your data.

You return to the initial screen, where you can create another class if required.
