Linking DocumentsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

Customizing for the Classification System allows the Document tab for processing the class.

Procedure

  1. In class maintenance, choose the Document tab.

  2. Enter the key of the document you want to link to the class.

You can use this document to store information on the class and the objects assigned to it. By linking a drawing or graphical information to this document, you can make this information available to the class.

Note

You can choose Document link to link several documents at once to a class.

You can display the document by choosing Document. You can display the linked graphic by choosing Doc. graphic.

If you select Always display document, the linked document is always displayed in the object search as soon as you enter the class.

Result

You can display the document in the object search by choosing Start of the navigation path Extras  Next navigation step  Display document graphic, End of the navigation path or Display document links if several documents are linked to the class.
