Configuration of the Side Panel for Process ObserverLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You can configure a side panel manually using SAP NetWeaver Business Client so that you can view context-related information that is logged in process observer alongside any standard SAP application. Alternatively, if you want to load the side panel configuration automatically, you must activate the POC_BC_SIDE_PANEL BC set in the SAP system.

Prerequisites

  • You have installed a latest release of NWBC that supports side panels.

  • You have activated the /BCV/MAIN_1 business function so that the Business Context Viewer framework is available.

  • You have the role SAP_BCV_ADMIN2 assigned to your user name.

  • You have created a context key POC_OVERVIEW.

Process

  1. Define Meanings for the business objects within an SAP application.

  2. Create a Query View for the side panel to retrieve data from the SAP application using data providers.

  3. Map the context fields of SAP Application to the Meanings that have the business objects.
