 Creating an Intrastat Declaration

Purpose

This process allows you to submit binding information about goods movements between two countries in the European Union (EU). If the goods movement occurs in the European Union (EU), country-specific intra-European transactions data are recorded in an Intrastat declaration.

This process is supported for the Service Parts Management (SPM) landscape, which integrates the following:

  • SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM)

  • SAP Supply Chain Management (SAP SCM)

  • SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS)

  • the ERP system

In SPM, for every goods movement to or from the warehouse, information regarding Mode of transport at the border and Geo-Route is transferred between systems. The ERP system acts as the central information dispatcher.

Note Note

Intrastat is the combination of the mode of transport at the border and geo routes and is used in inbound and outbound scenarios. To cover the inbound and outbound process, the stock transport order (STO) scenario is considered.

End of the note.

Process Flow

  1. Stock transfer for requisition (SAP APO).

  2. ATP check and update confirmed quantity (STO).

When a stock transfer is required between two plants in two different countries, SAP Advanced Planning & Optimizer (SAPAPO) does the Available-to-Promise (ATP) check and updates the confirmation quantity in STO.

  1. Create STO.

  2. Create outbound delivery.

Outbound delivery is created for the supplying plant in the ERP system

  3. Create outbound warehouse request (WHR).

The outbound delivery is replicated in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAPEWM).

  4. Complete the goods issue (GI) (SAP EWM).

The GI information is replicated in the ERP system and SAP CRM with the mode of transport and geo route.

  5. Create inbound delivery.

  6. Create inbound WHR (SAP ECC)

In the ERP system, an inbound delivery is created with Mode of Transport and Geo Route information with reference to GI. Inbound delivery is replicated in SAP EWM.

  7. Complete the goods receipt (GR) (SAP EWM)

GR is replicated in the ERP system and SAP CRM with the mode of transport and geo route.

  8. Generate the billing (SAP CRM).

  9. Create the Intrastat declaration (SAP GTS).
