With this procedure you can display any header data and value assignment data for specifications using various methods.
You have run a specification search or loaded a set of hits and are on the hit list screen.
If necessary, you have already edited frequently required output parameters in the output layoutof the output variant (see Editing Output Variants ).
For more prerequisites, see Search and Data Output in the Specification Information System .
Select the specifications whose data you want to display.
Choose one of the following steps:
If you have already activated the output variantyou want to use, continue with step 4.
If you have not activated any output variants or have activated a different output variant, choose
with the quick info text
Change Output Variant
.
The
Display Output Variant: Group Overview
dialog box appears.
Choose one of the following steps:
If you do not want to change the output parameters before output in the output variant, select the required output variant by double-clicking. The standard system contains the output variant SUB_OUTPUT in the group EMPTY for displaying specification data.
The system takes you back to the hit list.
If you do want to change the output parameters before output in the output variant, proceed as follows:
Choose either or that follows the required output variant.
The
Output: Parameter Tree
screen appears.
Enter your parameters.

If you want to use the changed output parameters for several outputs, you must save them as an output layout and, if required, copy the output variant and save the changed output parameters in the copy. For more information and for information about what you have to take into account when changing the parameters, see Editing Output Variants .
Start the output as follows:
If you are in the hit list, choose
with the quick info text

If you are on the
Output: Parameter Tree
screen, choose
Output
.
The data is displayed according to the settings in the output layout for the output variant. If the data display does not fulfill your requirements, you can change it as follows:
Choose
Change Parameters.
Change the parameters and choose
Output
.
If you specified in the output layout that the data is output with Microsoft Excel, you can also change the display using Microsoft Excel functions. Note, however, that Microsoft Excel can only be used to display the data. If you make changes to the data there, these changes will not be transferred to the SAP system. The export function to Microsoft Excel in SAP GUI for HTML is not supported.
