Procedure documentationAdjusting Label Templates Using User Entries

In Label Printing (transaction CBGL_MP01) in Global Label Management, after selecting a label in the label tree, you can display and, if necessary, change the determined values of the report symbols under User Entries. You can also influence the value determination under User Entries.

Example Example

If a batch and a shelf life expiration date from the batch are shown on a label, you can change the expiration date by changing the Batch user entry. The shelf life expiration date is stored in the batch master data in this case.

End of the example.

Procedure

If, in Label Printing, you subsequently want to edit or display the user entries, you first need to define screen fields for those report symbols that you are using in the label template for the label to be determined:

  1. Under Edit Report Template (transaction CG42), select the required label template in the hit list and choose User Entry (User Entry) or CTRL+SHIFT+F6.

The Edit Report Template: User Input screen is displayed.

  2. Enter the report symbols for which you subsequently want to change the values in Label Printing under User Entries.

  3. Save your entries.

Note Note

You can also make the settings for labeling scenarios in Customizing for Global Label Management under Define Print Scenarios. In this case, the settings apply for all label templates selected in the label tree.

End of the note.

Result

If, in Label Printing, you have determined a label for the label template being edited, you can edit the values of the report symbols output on the label.
