Roles are used in Employee Self-Service for different purposes:

  • Employee Self-Service Composite Role

    This role enables you to use the Employee Self-Service (WDA) role in SAP NetWeaver Business Client for HTML. It comprises single roles for ESS (WDA) with the menu structure of all services available with ESS (WDA)

  • Single Roles for Authorizations

    Most of the single roles that are part of the composite role are used only for granting authorization rights for the services contained in these roles.

  • Portal Role Employee Self-Service (WDA)

    The Portal role enables you to use the Employee Self-Service (WDA) in the SAP NetWeaver Portal.
