You can use this function to transfer data from Succession Planning in SAP E-Recruiting (PA-ER-SP) to Talent Management (PA-TM).
You can transfer the following information to Talent Management:
You can transfer talent groups created in SAP E-Recruiting, including the assignment of internal candidates to these talent groups.
Note
You cannot transfer the assignment of external candidates to talent groups to Talent Management.
The system transfers the following information about the talent groups and stores this in the infotypes Talent Group (7420) and Support Team (7430):
Title
Description
Support Team
Person Responsible
The system transfers the person responsible for a talent group from SAP E-Recruiting as the approver of the assignment of the talents to the talent group to Talent Management.

Assignments of Persons to Talent Group
The system transfers all assignments of internal candidates to talent groups and sets the status to Approved
.
To transfer the data, you use the report Transfer Talent Groups from E-Recruiting to Talent Management
(RPTMC_MIGRATE_TALENT_GROUPS
). For more information, see the report documentation.
You can transfer assignments of successors to positions, including the readiness of these successors, from SAP E-Recruiting.
You can identify the positions for which you transfer successor assignments to Talent Management as key positions.
The following prerequisites apply to the data transfer:
A central person (object type CP
) exists for all assigned successors.
The personnel numbers of all assigned successors and the positions to which they are assigned exist in both SAP E-Recruiting and Talent Management.
All successor assignments that you want to transfer are complete.
To transfer the data, you use the report Transfer Successor Assignments to Talent Management
(RPTMC_MIGRATE_SUCCESSIONS
). For more information, see the report documentation.
Recommendation
The system also creates values for the ranking of the assigned successors for the successor assignments that you want to transfer to Talent Management. Since no ranking is specified for successor assignments in SAP E-Recruiting, the system cannot transfer these values from there.
Therefore, we recommend that you create an entry such as Not Specified
in Customizing for Talent Management and Talent Development by choosing . You can then use this ranking for all successor assignments that you transfer from SAP E-Recruiting.
Synchronize Customizing Entries
You can compare the Customizing entries for the categories Education
and Work Experience
in the candidate profiles of SAP E-Recruiting with the entries in the corresponding Customizing views for the talent profiles of Talent Management.
You can transfer Customizing entries from SAP E-Recruiting to Talent Management.
This ensures that you use identical names (for example, for industries such as “Retail”, functional areas such as “Marketing”, or degree levels such as “High School Graduation”) in the candidate profile and the talent profile.
The synchronization affects Customizing entries for the following infotypes:
Candidate Profile
Work Experience (5103)
Education (5104)
Talent Profile
External Work Experience (7403)
Education (7404)
The synchronization affects Customizing entries that are stored in the following tables:

). For more information, see the report documentation.
Synchronize Entries
You can transfer the information on education and work experience that candidates have stored in the SAP E-Recruiting candidate profiles to the talent profiles of Talent Management.
You can check whether different data is stored for the same person in the candidate profile and the talent profile, and which differences exist.
The synchronization affects data that is stored in the infotypes mentioned in “Synchronize Customizing Entries”.
You can transfer data (that is stored in customer fields) that you have created for the infotypes for education and work experience.
The following prerequisites apply:
You have enhanced the infotypes of the candidate profile with the same fields as the infotypes of the talent profile.
The customer fields in the infotypes of the candidate profile are typed in the same way as the corresponding fields in the infotypes of the talent profile.
For the synchronization, you use the report Synchronization of Talent Profile with Candidate Profile
(RPTMC_TP_SYNC_EDU_WE_RCF
). For more information, see the report documentation.
