Procedure documentationPointing to FPM Application Configurations from the Portal

When you copy and customize a standard FPM application configuration, you must make changes in the Portal settings to point to your new application configuration.

Prerequisites

You have copied the standard FPM application configuration that you wish to edit and have customized the user interface for that application configuration.

For more information, see Copying a Standard FPM Application Configuration and Specific Customizing Activities.

Procedure

To ensure that your new FPM application configuration is visible from the Portal, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Portal, choose the Portal Content Studio.

  2. Find the iView which points to the standard FPM application configuration that you copied and customized.

  3. Create a copy of this iView (and the corresponding page in which it is embedded) into a new folder.

To do this, right-click on the iView and choose Copy.

  4. Open the folder Worksets and right-click where you want to place the new page and iView.

  5. Choose Paste as Delta Link.

  6. Copy the page (which you traced in step 2) as a delta link to the folder.

  7. Edit the new iView so that it points to your application configuration.

To do this, in Configuration Name, enter the name of your new application configuration.

  8. Choose Save.

  9. Remove the existing iView from the copied page and replace it with the new iView.

To do this, select the existing iView and choose Remove. Choose Save. Right-click the new iView and choose Start of the navigation path Add iView to Page Next navigation step Delta Link End of the navigation path.

The new iView now appears in the table.

  10. Choose Save.

  11. Add the page to the role and workset.

To do this, right-click the new page and choose Start of the navigation path Add Page to Role Next navigation step Delta Link End of the navigation path.
