Search for the phrases that you want to export.

In the hit list, select all phrases you want to export and choose Phrase  Data Exchange Export .

The Phrase Management: Export - Phrases dialog box appears.

Enter the required data and update the display by choosing (Refresh).

If you want to set an exclusive lock for the phrase library for the duration of the phrase export, select the Lock Phrase Library checkbox. If you do not select this checkbox, a shared lock is set for the phrase library during the export. This means the phrase export can not take place when phrases from the phrase library are being edited.

The checkbox is only visible if environment parameter PHRASE_EXPORT_LOCK_TIME is assigned a parameter value greater than zero.

If you want to restrict the number of languages to be exported, choose Language Selection. The SAP system records the language selection in the transfer file.

If you want to schedule the job for a certain time, choose (Start Time).

Choose (Export).

The SAP system displays the name of the background job it has started.
