  Technical Background

Object Types Used

The interface between the functions in the SAP system and the workflow system is provided by the object technology.

Object type BUS1077 (specification)

The business application object specification of the type BUS1077 is processed in the scenario.

Standard Tasks

The standard tasks as single-step tasks delivered by SAP describe elementary business activities from an organizational point of view. For this, a single-step task relates to an object method (= technical link to the function in the SAP system) and is linked to its possible agents in the organization.

Standard task TS11200005

In this standard task, the value assignment is called for defined value assignment types.

Referenced object method: object type BUS1077 (specification), method: VALUATIONDIALOGCALLFROMWF (call value assignment dialog box externally)

Note Note

For self-programmed single-step tasks to process a specification property, you should use the method VALUATIONDIALOGCALL.

End of the note.

Agent assignment: This task should be classified as a general task. General tasks do not need to be assigned to agents since anyone can execute them. The agent is determined from the context of the workflow.

Workflow Template

The actual organizational process is implemented as a workflow template. You will find this workflow template in your SAP system.

Workflow Template EHS_DEMO (EHS: Example of a workflow)

If value assignment types have to be edited again as a result of a specification change, a workflow with the template EHS_DEMO is started. (For this purpose, copy the template EHS_DEMO and then edit it manually.)
