Archiving Information Container

In order to reduce the load on your database, you can archive information container entries.

Prerequisites

You activated the archive information structure for information containers. (See Customizing for Customizing for Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable under Start of the navigation path Integration Next navigation step Information Container Archiving End of the navigation path ).

Features

You can reduce the burden on your database by archiving information container entries that you no longer need online. These entries are then deleted from the database and written to an archive database.

Note for Integration with SAP NetWeaver Information Lifecycle Management

The current archiving object is integrated with SAP NetWeaver ILM.

If you have configured SAP NetWeaver ILM and this archiving object accordingly, the write program that generates the archive files displays the ILM Actions group box. In this group box, you can choose one of the following radio buttons:

Archiving
Snapshot
Data Destruction

Activities

You archive using the SAP standard tool for archiving, the Archive Development Kit. On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Start of the navigation path Periodic Processing Next navigation step Archive Data Information Container End of the navigation path . You go directly to transaction SARA. The archiving object for information container entries is FI_MKKINF. The associated programs are:

RFKKINFAR01: Archiving Information Container Data
RFKKINFAR02: Deletion of Information Container Data
RFKKINFAR03: Reload of Information Container Data
