Assignment of different combinations of request or report data to a sales area and to a requesting sales organization. In case of incomplete entries in sales requests or sales reports, the system uses the update determination table to find the sales area automatically. On the basis of the assignment, the system can complete and update incomplete sales reports.

To search, the system proceeds according to the following logic:

The system starts by determining the assigned sales area at the level of the sales organization, the wholesaler number, the object number, the customer number, the material number.

If the system does not find a sales area under the determined key combination, it searches without material number (shortened key). If the search does not yield a result, the system searches without customer number, and so on. If the system does not find an assignment, it issues an error message.
