You can use this function to create roadmap processes and form scenarios. For this kind of process, you can reuse the Personnel & Organization
(PA-PAO) screens for single infotypes and offer them in a predefined sequence for editing in an easy-to-navigate roadmap.
You configure the roadmap form-based processes in the Design Time tool either as single-step processes or multi-step processes using the workflow.
In the Design Time tool, you configure roadmap forms in the following nodes:
Action
In this node, you can assign the roadmap form scenario to a specific personnel action.
Roadmap
In this node, you define the sequence of the infotypes in a roadmap form scenario.
Scenario Steps
In this node, you can define the workflow settings for multiple-step form scenarios.
Note
Currently, only processes for employee master data are supported for roadmap forms.
The following settings in Design Time are relevant for the creation of roadmap processes and form scenarios:
You create a process and assign a form scenario, selecting the Roadmap Form
type. (See also Assignment of Form Scenarios to a Process). This assignment defines that the process is a roadmap process.
Optional: Workflow (Business Workflow for HCM Processes and Forms)
Optional: Process Start
Role Assignment (Assignment of Roles to a Process)
Assignment to Process Group (Grouping Processes in Groups)
Collision Definition (Collision Checks for a Process)
Assignment to Collision Group (Collision Checks for a Process)
Frequency Restriction (Frequency Restrictions for a Process)
Form Scenarios
Create a form scenario.
In the Form Type field, choose Roadmap Form
and make all required entries.
For roadmap form scenarios, you can optionally enter an infotype version. The infotype version is used for country-specific requirements. If you do not enter an infotype version, the process can be started for any employee, independent of his or her country assignment. If you specify the infotype version, the process can only be started for the corresponding employees.
Note
The infotype version that you enter on a form scenario level also defines which infotype configurations are available for the roadmap form.
Note the following:
If you enter the infotype version 01 = Germany on the form scenario level, you can only select infotype configurations that also have the infotype version 01 or are international (version ID 99) for the roadmap.
If you use version ID 99 (International)
on the form scenario level, you can only select infotype configurations that also have the infotype version 99 for the roadmap. No country-specific configurations are possible in this case.
If you do not enter an infotype version for the form scenario, you can choose from all infotype configurations when defining your roadmap. At runtime, when starting the process for an employee, a check is executed; the process can only be started if all configurations of the roadmap match the country assignment of the employee.
Form Scenario Version: A version of the scenario is automatically created with the form scenario. You can display it in this node. Continue to define the form scenario as described in the following sections:
