The HR staff starts the process and selects an employee.
The HR staff fills out the form S_HRPA_QA_PROMOTION
with general information about promotion, such as promotion reasons and the new position for the employee; then the HR staff sends out the form.
The system displays the organizational hierarchy and the pay grade information of the new position. The HR staff fills out the basic pay and allowances in the form S_HRPA_QA_PROMOTION_REVIEW
, and sends it out.
The authorized manager is notified of this application request. The manager can approve or reject the request.
The HR staff receives the decision from the authorized manager, and takes the corresponding action in the back-end system accordingly:
Approval: The HR staff carries out the personnel action Promotion (PBS)
to change the selected employee's basic pay, pay grade and allowances as proposed in the form S_HRPA_QA_PROMOTION_REVIEW
.
Rejection: The HR staff does not do anything in the back-end system.
