Quality Management

You can use the Quality Management (QM) functions with SAP ERP to perform quality inspections in a decentralized warehouse [SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)] using the Quality Inspection Engine (QIE).

If you are using SAP EWM as the decentralized warehouse system and use SAP ERP, you can implement integrated QM processes.

Through the integration of SAP ERP to QM, the following functions are available:

Inspection lot generation based on QIE inspection documents
Inspection lot update based on changes in the relevant QIE inspection documents
Results recording in QM by SAP ERP based on QM inspection plans
Replication of results in the decentralized system
Follow-up actions in SAP EWM according to the inspection results

Constraints

You can find a list of constraints that are linked to the inspection lots generated from QIE inspection documents under Inspection Lot Origin 17 (Externally Triggered Inspection).
