Creating / Changing Characteristic GroupingsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You can use this function to group characteristics together and define your own value assignment screen with pushbuttons or tabs for groups of characteristics.

You use the characteristic group ing function to group together specific characteristics. You can define a pushbutton or an additional tab for each group ing and arrange the characteristics and characteristic values as you wish (for pushbuttons only).

Procedure

Creating a Characteristics Group

  1. Choose Start of the navigation path Value assignment Next navigation step Characteristics grouping Next navigation step Create. End of the navigation path

You see a dialog box in which you enter a name for your characteristics group. The combination of characteristics is saved under this name.

- You can define that characteristics groupings are displayed as pushbuttons or tabs in value assignment. You can define up to 15 pushbuttons and 9 tabs.

  • If you select Summarize, the characteristics you grouped together are no longer displayed individually on the main characteristic value assignment screen.

  • If you do not select either of the display options, the characteristics you select in the interface design are grouped together on the general tab.

Confirm your entries.

  1. You see the processing screen on which you can design the interface for the characteristics you grouped together.

Displaying / Changing a Characteristic Grouping

1. Choose Start of the navigation path Value assignment Next navigation step Characteristic grouping Next navigation step Display / change. End of the navigation path Enter the name of the characteristic grouping you want to change or display.

2. You see the processing screen for interface design, on which you can make the changes you require.

Deleting a Characteristic Grouping

  1. Display/change the characteristic grouping that you want to delete and go to the processing screen for interface design.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Goto  Next navigation step Chars group End of the navigation path on the processing screen for interface design.

  3. Delete the characteristic grouping.
