Function documentationConfiguration of Appraisal Templates for the Calibration Process for Employee Assessments

Make the following settings to transfer performance values and potential values from appraisal documents based on flexible appraisal processes to talent review meetings, and from the talent review meetings back to the appraisal documents:

  1. Ensure that an appropriate implementation of the Business Add-In (BAdI) Prerequisite for Status Change in Appraisal Document (HRHAP00_STATCHG_PREQ) is active.

In the standard SAP system, the implementation HRTMC_TMC_PERF_POT is active.

  2. Define the relevant status and status change for the appraisal templates that you use.

To do so, in Customizing for Personnel Management, choose Start of the navigation path Personnel Development Next navigation step Objective Setting and Appraisals Next navigation step Process Forms End of the navigation path and make the following settings for the appraisal template:

    • For the initial status In Process, initial substatus In Talent Review Meeting, define the pushbutton of your choice.

Managers can use this pushbutton to set the appraisal documents to the status In Talent Review Meeting and thus transfer the performance values and/or potential values to the talent review meeting.

    • Define the target status and target substatus of your choice.

The BAdI implementation sets this status when it returns the performance values and potential values from the talent review meeting to the appraisal document.

    • In the Prerequisite field, select an implementation of the BAdI Prerequisite for Status Change in Appraisal Document.

      Note Note

To receive more information about this BAdI implementation, choose the Information pushbutton, which is shown next to the Prerequisite field.

      End of the note.
  3. Define the appraisal elements from which the performance values and/or potential values are read for the talent review meeting and to which elements they are written.

To do so, in Customizing for Personnel Management, under Start of the navigation path Personnel Development Next navigation step Objective Setting and Appraisals Next navigation step Reuse of Values from Appraisal Document Next navigation step Configure Source and Target for Reuse End of the navigation path, for the values Performance (PERF) and Potential (POT) and the evaluation context Talent Review Meeting, select the appraisal elements from which the performance values and potential values are to be read and to which they are to be written.

    The following variants are possible:

    • The performance values and/or potential values from the talent review meeting are, in addition to the manager's appraisal, stored in the appraisal document.

For this, use different appraisal elements as the source for reading the values and as the target for writing the values.

      Recommendation Recommendation

We recommend that you use this variant.

      End of the recommendation.
    • The performance values and/or potential values from the talent review meeting overwrite the manager's appraisal in the appraisal document.

For this, use the same appraisal elements as the source and target.
