You can search for classified objects by using the class type, as well as the class. Using a class type to search is useful if the object you are looking for could be classified in one of several classes.
You can only use this search for objects. For information on finding classes, see Finding Initial Classes .
Classes have been created and objects have been assigned to these classes.
A search by class type has the same function as searching by class.
If you want to define User Settings for finding objects, choose
From the classification menu, choose
On the Select chars tab, enter the characteristics you need to describe the objects you are searching for.

On the Selection criteria tab, you can use the F4 help to select values.
If you have defined default values, you can get these values for all characteristics or selected characteristics by choosing Defining How Default Values Work .
