Enhancements for Business Suite Analytics (FND_Analytics_Tools)

You can use this business function to get a real-time insight into your workforce, which helps you to make better business decisions. This business function uses operational data provisioning (ODP) technology to provide real-time reporting in HCM.

The following areas are supported in this release:

  • Personnel Administration (Headcount and Personnel Action Reporting)

  • Time Management

  • Process Monitoring for Enterprise Compensation Management, Performance Management, and Talent Management

  • Learning Solution

You can access and analyze data without the need for a separate Business Warehouse (BW) system. This reduces the overall Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and the Total Cost of Implementation (TCI) of your analytics solution.

Operational Data Provisioning

Operational Data Provisioning is a metadata concept in SAP NetWeaver that gives an analytic query access to operative data in a backend system. It also supports replication scenarios.

Predefined content is delivered for operational reporting for various application areas.

Note Note

Operational Data Provisioning and the analytics search use a common modeling environment. In the modeling of the search and analytics model, an operational data provider (ODP) is defined on the basis of DataSources.

Additionally, you can change the search and analytics models, or create your own models.

Using the launchpad, the queries are included in the Reports iView of the Talent Management Specialist 1.6 portal role, and in the Reports service of the Talent Management Specialist SAP NetWeaver Business Client role.
