Mass Release of ClassificationsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

The mass release function lets you release all classifications for a class or class type that were previously locked or incomplete. The system checks whether the following conditions for release are fulfilled. For example:

  • All required characteristics have a value

  • No values are inconsistent due to dependencies

  • No two classifications are the same, if this is checked with an error message

Selected assignments that could not be released are highlighted in color and can be processed manually afterward.

Features

This function also lets you display assignments that are not valid in the selection context you chose (change number and date).

This lets you see the other change numbers that have been used to process an assignment, and why the assignment cannot be released in a specific context.

You can only release individual assignment records in the context that is defined by the change number and date:

  • Enter selection date (without change number)

All assignments that are not released and have not been processed with a change number on the date you enter are selected. You can release these assignments.

  • Enter selection date (without change number) and Display invalid indicator

All assignments that are not released and have not been processed with a change number on the date you enter are selected. You can release these assignments.

All assignments that are not released and have been processed with a change number that has a valid-from date before or on the date you enter are also selected.

All assignments that are not released and have been processed with a change number with parameter effectivity are selected.

You cannot release the assignments that have been processed with engineering change management.

  • Enter change number with date effectivity

All assignments that have been processed with this change number or without a change number are selected. You can released these assignments with the change number you entered.

If the Display invalid indicator is set, you also see change statuses from before the selection date and assignments with a deletion indicator. You cannot release these assignments.

  • Enter change number with parameter effectivity and date

All assignments are selected, if:

  • They have been processed with the change number you entered

  • They have been processed with several change numbers that have the same effectivity type, and that have a lower rank than the change number you entered

  • They have been processed with a change number with date effectivity, and the valid-from date is before or on the selection date you entered

  • They have not yet been processed with a change number

You can released these assignments with the change number that has parameter effectivity.

If the Display invalid indicator is set, all change statuses are selected if:

  • They are before the selection date

  • They have been processed with change numbers of the same effectivity type

  • The change numbers have a lower rank than the assignments with a deletion indicator

You cannot release these assignments.
