To ease the load on your database, you can archive correspondence requests. Using the correspondence history, you can display correspondence requests from the archive.
You made the required settings for
ArchiveLink.
In the standard system, the correspondence tool retrieves the archiving information structure SAP_CORR_001, which is linked to the archiving object CORRSPND. Be aware that this archiving information structure does not contain the
contract
. If you need additional fields in the archiving information structure, such as the contract of your application, or if you use a different archiving object for archiving correspondence requests, then enter a new archiving information structure in transaction SARJ. The archiving information structure selects the data for displaying the correspondence history from the archive. Accordingly, the fields available in the archiving information structure should reflect the selection parameters of the correspondence histories that you retrieve for your application.
Make the archiving information structure of your application known to the correspondence tool, as described in Maintaining Attributes of the Application Area . See also Reading Correspondence Requests from the Archive .
Once you have modified the field selection and activated the archive information structure (in Customizing, choose
), you can display archived correspondence requests from the archive in the correspondence history.
